My book 📚 KNOW GHANA BETTER which details oral histories of Ghanaian tribes, migration accounts, festivals, languages spoken in Ghana, tourist sites, legends and many more is on sale. There are 9 main language groups in Ghana
- Guan
- Ga-Dangme
- Ewe
- Senufo
- Ghana-Togo Mountain Languages
- Mole- Dagbon
- Gurunsi
- Akan
- Gurma
We dissect all these 9 groups and learn their various historical accounts, dialects, tourism potentials and how their communities came about and their languages into great details.
KNOW GHANA BETTER started with the dream of a young lad who had questions about the origin of most of the ethnic groups in Ghana and the reason why some languages are evidently the same yet, some ethnic groups claim they are different from them. We told the history the Ghanaian way: born of unity and not the one of separation as passed down to some of us. Some languages were born out of some.
You cannot tell the history of some communities in isolation from the others. In short, all Ghanaian ethnic groups are interconnected.
