Terraced ponds appearing in Nepal to save water

Nepal has some of the heaviest rainfall in the world.

But longer dry spells and shorter, more intense periods of rain are causing a serious water shortage as a result of runoff and lack of storage.

Now farmers are coming up with simple but effective ways to save the water that falls during the monsoon.
