Gestational Diabetes Testing // Is it safe for pregnancy? Are there alternatives?

During pregnancy, a gestational diabetes screening test is recommended by most doctors. I did some research because I wanted to know:

1) What is the glucose test during pregnancy (1 hour and 3 hour)?
2) What are the ingredients in the glucose test for pregnancy (glucola)?
3) What are the risks of the glucose test during pregnancy?
4) How accurate is the glucose test during pregnancy?
5) What percentage of women fail the 1 hour glucose test during pregnancy?
6) What are alternatives to the glucose test during pregnancy?

Doctors today tend to choose what is best for you instead of giving you options and information and then allowing you to choose your own preference. And, to be honest, there are many dumb things doctors recommend. My initial research turned up search suggestions like "glucose test pregnancy throwing up", and "is glucola safe / is glucola healthy" ... so I was immediately interested when I found the glucometer test.

In this video, I go through the gestational diabetes test procedure, glucola ingredients, an alternative to the glucose tolerance test (also called the glucose challenge test), the procedure for gestational diabetes testing at home with a glucometer, and I compared the overall pros and cons of a glucometer test vs glucola test during pregnancy.
