Pres. Marcos eyes direct sugar importation by food manufacturers

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has confirmed that the administration was looking into the possibility of food producers being permitted to directly import sugar to address the current situation of the sugar industry.

This means a firm can directly buy sugar from a supplier overseas.
